Address Signs

In an emergency, how easily can emergency personnel locate your home? If you don’t have a properly placed, up-to-date emergency address sign, valuable time could be lost while we search for your location. Either of the styles below (white reflective numbers) is acceptable.

We encourage you to drive down your street and assess how visible your address sign is, especially in the dark. If you have trouble seeing your sign, emergency personnel will likely have the same difficulty.
Your sign should be visible from both directions and placed as close to the street as possible. If you have more than one driveway, ensure the sign is located at the primary and most accessible driveway to your home.
If your sign is damaged, faded, or resembles one of the examples below, it needs to be replaced. Replacement signs are available through the fire district for a small fee.

IMPORTANT!
If your address has changed and you haven't ordered a new address sign, please contact or visit the Fire Department during regular business hours.
NEW TO CENTRAL OREGON?
If you're new to Central Oregon, you may not be familiar with the green and white emergency address signs, but you'll see them in all rural areas. These signs are the preferred method of displaying property addresses.
If you're building a new home on the Ranch or have purchased property here and there is no address sign, it's important to get one (you must have a driveway to receive an address sign). While a temporary sign may seem sufficient, a more visible, permanent sign is crucial in an emergency. Please avoid making your own sign. The Fire District offers these signs for a nominal fee. To request one, fill out the form below or stop by the Fire Station during regular business hours, Monday through Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM.
The cost for an Emergency Address Sign is $25.
